Objectives : To study the subject comparatively in the light of Roman Catholic and Anglican tradition.
Learning outcomes: Students will be able to understand: a) the Catholic foundations of Anglican liturgy and sacramental vision present in the worldwide Anglican Communion today; b) the nuances and diversity of sacramental approach in the Catholic Church and the Anglican Communion; c) the liturgical and sacramental convergences articulated in the Anglican-Catholic International Dialogue (ARCIC).
Contents : A historical-theological approach by studying Anglican and Catholic sources through readings and presentations during the seminar sessions to enrich a greater mutual understanding of liturgical and sacramental traditions in the Anglican Communion and the Catholic Church. Then from an in-depth study of the documents of the Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC), an attempt to address ecumenical liturgical and sacramental challenges by looking to the future.
Methodology : Seminar. Presentations and discussions.
Means of evaluation : Presentation of each student and a paper related to the presentation.
