Objectives: The course will introduce students to the concept of safeguarding guidelines, teaching them about their structure and relationship to safeguarding policies and codes of conduct.
Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, the students will be able to draft safeguarding guidelines that are culturally sensitive and adapted to their own contexts or work places.
Content: Essential elements of guidelines, considering also the aspects of canon and civil law; a critical analysis of the existing guidelines.
Methodology: The course will combine lectures, readings, and seminar discussion.
Means of evaluation: Evaluation will be based on class participation and a written paper.
It will be indicated at the beginning of the course.
