The Library will be closed to the public during the months of July and August for renovation work that will affect Reading Room 3 and all the rooms located on the mezzanine floor of the Central Building.
In order to limit the inconvenience caused to scholars and researchers as much as possible, it is agreed that:
- exceptionally, no return of the documentary holdings will be required during the summer months;
- sarà possibile prendere in prestito i volumi fino a venerdì 28 giugno p.v.;
- it will be possible to borrow the volumes until Friday 28 June;
- return reminders will be suspended in July, August and September and will start again on 1 October.
"We are sure you will understand our satisfaction in having achieved our goal of modernising and making more comfortable for study and work a large section of the public area of the Library," writes Dr Miriam Viglione, Prefect of the Library. "We trust that you will forgive the inconvenience that the extraordinary closure may cause."
