Opening of the Ignatian Year 2021-2022

Thursday 20 May 2021 will mark the opening of the Ignatian Year, which was convoked by Fr Arturo Sosa Abascal S.J., Superior General of the Society of Jesus and Vice-Chancellor of the Pontifical Gregorian University. In fact, on this very date five centuries ago, Ignatius of Loyola suffered a wound during the battle of Pamplona (Spain) that forced him to undergo a long convalescence, which inaugurated his conversion.

On 20 May, the Institute of Spirituality of the Pontifical Gregorian University will join the celebrations in Pamplona with the conference To see all things new in Christ. The event will take place in the Aula Magna, with the participation of only those students and professors of the Gregorian University who have registered on the online event page; live streaming and further publication of the videos will be guaranteed on bit.ly/vedereinCristo
