CHIESA UNIVERSALE E CHIESA PARTICOLARE

This volume is the fruit of the Author's 40 years of teaching in the Faculty of Canon Law at the Pontifical Gregorian University and his experience as Consultor for so many of the various Dicasteries of the Roman Curia. The fact that it is the work of a single Author has the merit of being an expression of a profound unity of thought and methodology.

Ѐ a detailed commentary on the canons of Book II of the Code of Canon Law concerning "The Hierarchical Constitution of the Church."

The volume is designed and compiled for the use of canon law professors, licentiate and doctoral students in the Faculties of Canon Law, and canon law scholars in general. ù Depending on the case, the theological foundations of the canons are given, in the light of which the positive discipline is expounded, so that it truly appears as an ecclesial discipline aimed at achieving the supernatural good of the faithful both as individuals and as a community. A brief historical introduction is also given of the various institutes.

In order not to weigh down the text, the author has purposely wished to be sober by avoiding in the notes frequent citations of his own writings and excessive quoting of other authors. The volume contains a list of all official documents cited, a rich and up-to-date bibliography and an analytical index by subject.
