The interdisciplinary colloquium was created to accompany the project 'Roman Diaries. St. Gallen monks travelling in the Jubilee year 1700', curated by the Archive of the Abbey of St. Gallen. This project focuses on the journey to Italy by two St. Gallen monks from October 1699 to May 1701 and their stay in Rome during the jubilee year. The journey is documented mainly by two diaries in Latin, mostly independent of each other, which will be published and studied in the series 'Itinera Monastica' published by the Abbey Archives. They deal with a rich variety of topics, impressions and experiences.pressions and experiences.
