Esperienza di vita contemplativa come monaco buddhista

The Buddha wrote nothing, but left the conspicuous legacy of his teaching to the religious order he founded and led for forty-five years - the Sangha. This order has survived some twenty-six centuries, preserving the Buddha's wisdom in lifestyle and speech. The Buddha taught a path of spiritual awakening, a discipline that one can apply in one's daily life. The path of practice can be divided into three mutually supporting aspects: virtue, meditation and wisdom. Although the path can be followed by anyone, monastic life offers the most favourable conditions for those who want to dedicate themselves completely to the religious life.
