With Witnesses of Sanctity. Relics, Reliquaries and Corpus Christi, the Seminars for the Cultural Heritage of the Church, interrupted due to the pandemic, restart.

The aim of the seminars is to present from time after time specific topics of interest for the safeguarding, protection, conservation and correct use of the Catholic Church's cultural heritage of religious interest.

The first part of the seminar will present the Church's mens about relics and canonical laws; the relationship between relics and reliquaries; canonical surveys and current devotional practices.

In the Round Table the reflection will be on the appropriateness of the preservation and display of reliquaries with relics within sacred places rather than in museum institutions or exhibitions, never forgetting that the relics of saints are not assimilated to cultural goods, but are witnesses of the action of God the Creator, relics to which due honour and respect is due in the appropriate places and times.
