Vita Teologia Università

Following his recent nomination as a member of the Pontifical Academy of Theology and in observance of the tradition of this institution, Prof. Ilaria Morali, Full Professor of Dogmatic Theology, will give a lectio magistralis entitled: 'Life-Theology-University' in her own University. With the Motu proprio Ad Theologiam Promovendam, approving the Statutes of the Pontifical Academy of Theology (1/11/23), Pope Francis asks theologians for an "teologia in uscita", "capace di leggere e interpretare il Vangelo nelle condizioni in cui gli uomini e le donne quotidianamente vivono…", " rivolta misericordiosamente alle piaghe aperte dell’umanità e del creato e dentro le pieghe della storia umana"; a theology that is thus an expression of a " dimensione sapienziale”. In the pursuit of these intentions, the lectio magistralis focuses on illustrating some salient aspects of the link between life and theology and the role of the university in achieving these purposes.
