Doctorate in Spiritual Theology

The Doctoral Programme in Spiritual Theology aims to train candidates to become competent scientific actors and true researchers, each in their own field. To this end, candidates are accompanied in a systematic acquisition of the diverse methodologies and the specific contents of Spiritual Theology, through a training path organized as follows:

  • The Candidacy Period or Cursus ad doctoratum (until the delivery of the Topic), and
  • The Research Period (from the approval of the Dissertation Topic until the presentation of the Project).

These periods will be accompanied by two training activities:

  • the Schola Doctoralis I (mandatory attendance during the first year), and
  • the Schola Doctoralis II (mandatory attendance for second year doctoral students).

During the time of the Cursus ad doctoratum, any choice of courses must be approved by the Director of the Department.
