Objectives: The course will teach students about the possible effective procedures to follow in response to abuses in institutions. It will also introduce the concept of a safety plan for perpetrators, defining the responsibilities of the stakeholders in the organizations.
Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, students will be able to define and recognize the main dynamics of CSA allegations. They will be able to deal with allegations and procedures adapted to their cultures and contexts.
Content: Assisting and supporting children involved in sexual abuse and their families; legal aspects and responsibilities; safety plan for perpetrators; documentation of allegations, procedures that follow, cooperation with legal agencies; information sharing.
Methodology: The course will combine lectures, readings, and seminar discussion.
Means of evaluation: Evaluation will be based on class participation and written papers.
It will be indicated at the beginning of the course.
