Objectives: This course will teach students about types of abuse and how they are related to power issues; abusive dynamics in relationships will be introduced.

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, students will be able to recognize the various forms of maltreatment, as well as be able to identify signs and indicators of abuse.

Content: Various forms of maltreatment and their consequences; spiritual abuse, financial abuse, and intrafamilial abuse; impact of abuse on the lives of the victims; possible consequences of abuse; specific dangers of cyber abuse.

Methodology: The course will combine lectures, readings, and seminar discussion.

Means of evaluation: Evaluation will be based on class participation and written papers.
