XP2032  RECOGNIZING CHILDREN AT RISK (A.Y. 2024/2025)

Objectives: The course will introduce the students to the topic of abuse in contexts of “special” vulnerabilities as disabilities, wars, and migration/human trafficking can bring about.

Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to recognize to what extent children are at risk in specific environments or in light of a specific status, such as disabilities, migration issues, and armed conflicts.

Content: Risks for children in some of the highest-risk environments – migration contexts, and war; some systemic ways to address or prevent abuses in these contexts.

Methodology: The course will combine lectures, readings, and seminar discussion.

Means of evaluation: Evaluation will be based on class participation and written papers.
