Objectives: The course will deepen students’ knowledge of their attitudes and behaviors they should enact as safeguarders in their specific professions. The concept of the “Hippocratic Oath” for Safeguarders will be introduced.

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, students will be able to define the main principles and elements of professional behavior. They will also be able to write their own Hippocratic Oath, specific to their own safeguarding role.

Content: Roles, limitations, and responsibilities of professionals; proper boundaries; recognitions of responsibilities in professional life.

Methodology: The course will combine lectures, readings, and seminar discussion.

Means of evaluation: Evaluation will be based on class participation and written papers.
